About BidHeron
BidHeron collects new public tenders from five official government portals in the UK, the EU, the US and Canada, puts them in one list you can search, and emails each business the ones that match its alert. Searching is free and needs no account.
Who runs it
BidHeron is run by Akhil Bansal, a sole trader based in India. It is independent and not affiliated with any government or procurement portal. Questions, corrections and support requests go to support@bidheron.com.
Where the tenders come from
Every tender on BidHeron comes from one of these official sources, and each tender page links to the original notice. The status page shows when each one was last read.

Each portal classifies tenders its own way (CPV codes in the UK and EU, NAICS in the US, UNSPSC and CanadaBuys categories in Canada). BidHeron maps them onto 25 shared categories so one alert works across all four markets. The mapping is approximate, so an alert with keywords catches what a category alone might miss.
How matching works
An alert matches a tender when one of its keywords appears at the start of a word in the tender's title, buyer or description, or when the tender is in one of the alert's categories. You can narrow an alert by market, EU country, contract value and words to exclude. Search uses the same rules, so a saved search sends what the search showed.
On Pro, an AI model also reads each matching tender next to the description of your business and gives a fit score from 0 to 100 with a one-line reason. It is a way to sort a long list, not advice: always read the official notice before deciding to bid.
What it costs
Search, one alert and a weekly email are free. Pro is $19 a month and adds a daily email, up to five alerts, fit scores and posting to Slack or Microsoft Teams. Details are on the pricing page.
