Terms of service

BidHeron collects new public-procurement notices from five official portals: Find a Tender and Contracts Finder (UK), TED (EU), SAM.gov (US federal) and CanadaBuys (Canada). It puts them in one searchable place and emails matches to the profiles you create. Pro adds daily alerts, more profiles, and automatically generated summaries and fit scores.

BidHeron is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any government or procurement authority. Notice data is republished under each source's open licence with attribution (see the footer of every page).

• Not the official record. The portal we link to is the authority on every notice, including deadlines and documents. Always confirm there before bidding.
• Not complete or instant. We fetch new notices on a schedule and depend on the portals' own feeds; notices can be delayed, missing or amended.
• Not advice. Summaries and fit scores are produced automatically to help you read faster. They can be wrong. They are not legal, procurement or business advice, and a high score is not a recommendation to bid.

An account is an email address you have confirmed by clicking a link we send. Keep control of that mailbox; anyone who can read it can sign in. One person per account; the free plan allows one profile, Pro up to five. We may close accounts that abuse the service, attempt to scrape or bulk-download our pages, resell the alerts, or interfere with other users.

Pro costs US$19 per month, billed in advance, and renews automatically until cancelled. Payments are taken by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, which also handles invoices, taxes and card security; its terms apply to the payment itself. Cancel any time from Dashboard, then Billing; access continues to the end of the paid period. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email; a change never affects a period already paid for. Refunds are governed by the Refund policy.

• Use the site and emails for finding and assessing public tenders for your own organisation or clients.
• Do not scrape, crawl or systematically download our pages, API or emails, or use them to build a competing dataset.
• Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, plan limits or access controls, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without asking us first.
• Do not enter content into profiles that is unlawful or that you have no right to use.

We aim to keep the service available and the data fresh (the status page shows when each portal was last read), but we make no guarantee of uninterrupted service. We may change features, data sources or pricing. If a change materially reduces what Pro delivers, we tell subscribers by email before it takes effect.

To the extent the law allows, BidHeron is provided "as is", and our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for missed tenders, lost bids, or decisions taken on the basis of summaries or scores. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
