Corby Closed Landfill is located on the northern outskirts of Corby. The landfill covers approximately thirteen (13) hectares. The volume of waste deposited into the site is unknown but is estimated to be in the order of 1.4Mm3 to a depth of around sixteen (16) metres. The buried waste produces landfill gas and leachate. The site has no form of impermeable containment and as such is considered to be a "dilute and disperse" site.
